Garmin Releases Mandatory Service Bulletin for GPS400W/500W Navigators

Garmin has issued a Mandatory Service Bulletin for owners of GPS400W/500W panel mounted systems. The service bulletin calls for a software upgrade to address several ongoing issues and improve other features.

Spencer Avionics can perform the upgrade in most  cases at no charge. Call John or Pat at Spencer Avionics for your appointment. The numbers are 253.848.9349 or 800.424.1160. The upgrade will take approximately an hour.

The software upgrade will reset your unit to the factory defaults. All user stored information such as Flight Plans, Waypoints or Checklists will be erased during the upgrade.
